Miss Captain Bear's Miniatures

 So recently I've been really into sculpting miniatures from scratch, and after some warmups decided to take the plunge and make a hero Skaven character! I'm really excited to sculpt more humanoid miniatures in the future, and this is the first of these.

Ok, so after digging around the files in my phone I couldn't find any of the making of pictures. I swear I took some, but they're just not there. I'll still try to go into the making-of but I'll have to use the instruction booklet and photoshop to show how I cut and repositioned things. 

 I'm still trying to round out my AoS Skaven army, and I really love the not-more-clanrats (which I own 60 of now. Christ, that's a lot of rats) aspect of Night Runners. I'd been giving James workshop a lot of money recently by getting the Skaventide box, so I wanted to go off-road and look into smaller indie shops for miniatures this time. 

This sculpt started because I really don't like the Boneripper from the classic comedy duo "Thanquol on Boneripper ", but also because I like the derpy charm that old sculpts tend to have. I wanted to compliment my Bloodwake Corsair "Screaming Bell" with another heroic character that was interesting and unique, something I could slam down on the table and have my opponent weep with despair. (Or, more likely, say "oh that's cool what is that?" politely). So anyway I got to sculpting.

We're continuing a deep dive into the anecdotes I've overheard about the game company Blizzard and the Warhammer games in my time at  FLGS's. In the previous post, we looked at the relationship between Warcraft 1 and the Warhammer fantasy game. The two we'll focus on today are "Starcraft Started at a 40k game" and "Games Workshop changed the name of their Space Marines to Adeptus Astartes because of a lawsuit involving Blizzard's Terran Marines from Starcraft".
